Students of School of Design were engaged in a theatre workshop to understand the role of composition in space and time.Dr Ajit Panwar led them in confidence building and team building activities.

Akshita Semwal of School of Design designed a coffee table book on Doon University that celebrates the role the University has played in women empowerment in higher education in the state of Uttarakhand.

Third year students of School of Design were guided by Film designer Vineet Horo in their short film project as part of their curriculum. Students from Deptt of Theatre and School of Mass Communication also participated in the film making team.The movie was launched as part of International Design Day celebrations by School of Design students.

Second year students of School of Design participated in Jaipur Design Week, organised by JKLU University’s department of Design. Students were involved in many workshops and competitions. They also had the chance to see the many sights of Jaipur.

On the occasion of World Design Day, School of Design organised a series of talks by young upcoming Designers who are doing inspirational work in their respective design domains. The design community from all over Dehradun gathered at Doon University to join in these remarkable talks that covered areas like heritage conservation, filmmaking, game design and documentation of traditional communities.

Doon University organized the Swachhta Pakhwada 2023 from 27-31 March, 2023. Students from the University participated in creative workshops and spread the message of cleanliness on campus. Students were also part of the 'Swachhta Rally' and the 'Swachhta Shapath'.
